Reflections - appropriation video

This was so much fun to do, and for a 1 minute video it took surprisingly long to get it right.

There is no meaning behind this video in which it shows a message, its is purely a compilation of some of my favourite adverts along with some old ones that I think are just as weird.

If there was a message to gain from this, it would be that advertising is odd, and random, and it seems to be that the more weird and whacky it is the more memorable.

I crossed over loads of adverts and only used things from the ads. I wanted to try and show that adverts are some times just weird, and usually unrelated to the product they are selling.

This took me a surprising 2 and a half hours to get right and exactly a minute. I was really inspired by Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore by Mark Leekay [feelings about that in another blog post]

This was a fun little project to do and I'm really pleased with the outcome, there really wasn't much of a thought process when making it, I just wanted to make it as random as possible to reflect the random ways products are advertised.
